The Short Term Missions Ministry at West Jax is an opportunity for both youth and adults to experience the mission field, stretch their faith, and to see what God is doing in the developing world. In addition to our local outreach ministries, the Short Term Missions Ministry is a response to the Great Commission and a chance to obey the Great Commandment.

Historically, groups from West Jax have most commonly traveled to the Central American country of Honduras to participate as part of the Cristo Salva ministry. With evangelism as the main focus of all visits, teams participate in building projects, medical care, food and clothing distribution, provision of educational materials and many other forms of outreach to encourage local believers and show God’s love and grace to those in need.

On a short term trip, as you put aside the distractions of a busy life and hear more clearly from God, the life that will be changed the most as a result of your participation is likely to be your own.
